Job summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced Splunk Administrator & Cloud Engineer to bolster our cloud-based logging and observability stack. The ideal candidate will manage Splunk deployments, perform upgrades, and extend capabilities with custom apps and scripts.

Strong Linux (RHEL) skills and certified Splunk admin credentials are required. You will contribute to highly available, scalable architectures and collaborate with global teams to maintain robust monitoring and data pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Splunk Administrator & Developer on Cloud.
  • Should have Splunk Admin certifications.
  • Strong Linux system administration skills, predominantly RHEL. UNIX / Shell scripting.
  • Maintain the run-book for existing procedures.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of contributing effectively in a team.
  • Experience in highly available, highly scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and develop Splunk on Cloud environments.
  • Deploy, migrate and manage large-scale Splunk deployments on Cloud.
  • Perform core administration, installation, troubleshooting, patching and upgrades.
  • Manage all Splunk components (Search head, indexers, masters, heavy forwarder).
  • Develop custom apps and plugins for Cloud deployments.
  • Manage Splunk REST APIs and HTTP Event Collectors on Cloud.
  • Create and maintain run-books and operational runbooks.
  • Write scripts for Splunk automation.

  • Expertise in administering Splunk cloud & Enterprise Environment
  • Migrate and deploy large scale systems and services on Cloud
  • Splunk core administration, installation, troubleshooting management, patching & upgrading of all components.
  • Manage all Splunk components (Search head, indexers, masters, heavy forwarder)
  • Experience in custom application & plugins on Cloud
  • Manage Splunk Rest APIs & HTTP Event Collectors on Cloud.
  • Expertise in input data manager
  • Create and manage Splunk alerts with third party Applications
  • Expertise in creating and customizing Splunk applications, searched and dashboards
  • Manage Third party plugins/ Add-ons
  • Write scripts for Splunk Automation.

6-12 Yrs. of Experience

  • Splunk Administrator & Developer on Cloud
