Job summary

Splunk is seeking a technical leader to drive the User & Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) solution. You’ll own design, development and operation of new features, lead architectural discussions, and build scalable applications in Python/Java with modern AWS/Docker/Kubernetes tooling.

You’ll mentor teammates, handle on‑call duties and push for reliable, high‑performance systems across distributed teams, collaborating with product, design and customers to deliver security insights.

Qualifications

• Backend development: Python or Java with data structures, algorithms, microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Data & Storage: SQL, key-value stores (Redis), search/analytics (Elasticsearch).
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Operational Excellence: monitoring, telemetry, log management, AI coding assistants usage.
• Communication & Collaboration: translating complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Experience: 8+ years with a technical Bachelor's, or 6+ years with a Master's.

Responsibilities

• Own and be accountable for the design, development and operation of new product features.
• Lead team design and architectural discussions.
• Build reliable, scalable, and high‑performance applications.
• Debug and resolve customer‑reported issues, delivering effective solutions.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, post‑incident reviews and other operational activities.
• Learn, explore, and integrate new technologies into the team’s workflow.
• Mentor junior members of the team with an eye toward their future career growth.
