Job summary

The Stepstone Group is seeking a senior engineer to join the Data Platform team, designing, building and maintaining scalable data platform capabilities that power analytics, AI and business‑critical products.

Within the Data Platform department you will collaborate closely with Staff and Principal Engineers, Engineering Managers and Product Managers, owning components, driving quality and mentoring others while solving complex engineering challenges using AWS, Terraform, Airflow and related

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Senior Engineer in data platform or platform engineering.
Experience delivering end-to-end data solutions with cross‑functional teams.
Hands-on with cloud and infrastructure technologies, especially AWS and Terraform.
Strong knowledge of modern data platforms, processing technologies and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

Design, build and own key Data Platform components, delivering scalable, production‑ready solutions.
Write clean, well‑tested and observable code while promoting standards and patterns.
Ensure quality, reliability and performance via reviews, testing and monitoring.
Own end‑to‑end technical delivery and mentor less experienced engineers.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools and automation to boost productivity.
