Job summary

Remitly Poland is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Builder Platform team across Kraków and the US. You will drive AI-first infrastructure, guide cloud and network architecture, and build a high‑performing org while staying hands‑on when needed.

You will own IaC strategy, FinOps, governance, and cross‑functional partnerships with Security, SRE, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, global cloud infrastructure for a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a distributed multi-country engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Champion an AI-first engineering culture and integrate AI agents, MCP tooling, and automated systems into infrastructure management.
• Drive FinOps and cost optimization across cloud spend with finance and engineering partners.
• Own IaC strategy for cloud primitives and build reusable, repeatable patterns.
• Architect for global presence with multi-region, multi-cloud/hybrid strategies.
• Lead and grow an engineering team across Krakow and the US, focusing on self-service builder experience.
• Stay hands-on: review designs and code, and participate in incidents when needed.
• Collaborate with Security, SRE, and Builder Experience on shared solutions.
• Own network expansion, VPN setup and seamless network integration.
• Define the comprehensive network strategy for edge computing and multi-account architectures.
