Job summary

Remitly Poland Sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design and operate our cloud foundation. You will lead topology choices, manage edge infrastructure, and develop Go services that automate and observe our platform at scale.

The role involves building VPNs and Direct Connect links, collaborating with SRE and security teams, and participating in on-call rotations. Hybrid work at our Kraków office with international collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud engineering or DevOps with AWS focus.
• Proficient in at least one backend language; Go preferred.
• Strong knowledge of VPC design, DNS, routing, and multi-account governance.
• Experience with edge infrastructure management and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture decisions on cloud topology and cross-region connectivity.
• Own and evolve edge infrastructure—CloudFront, Shield, WAF, CDN failover.
• Build and maintain production Go services and CLI tooling for the cloud platform.
• Design and operate VPNs, Direct Connect, and global partner connectivity.
• Collaborate with SRE, Security, and Platform teams to embed observability and compliance.
• Troubleshoot network issues across distributed cloud environments; on-call rotation.
