Job summary

Redpanda Data is seeking an experienced senior software engineer to drive billing and payments services for Redpanda Cloud from our new Warsaw team. You will own Metronome-based metering and Stripe-based credit-card management, align with finance and product, and push a forward-looking roadmap as we expand offerings.

Qualifications

• Solid software engineering fundamentals and a track record of owning development of features and components.
• Experience developing, operating, and supporting large scale distributed systems.
• Backend development in Go and a foundation in public cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Frontend familiarity with React/TypeScript and ability to adapt customer-facing UIs.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical implementation of UBB (Metronome) and payments (Stripe) end-to-end, designing, building, operating and evolving the architecture and services.
• Build and operate metering, billing, and payment workflows with strong idempotency, reconciliation, and auditability.
• Adopt the existing metering, billing, and payments systems and drive them forward to future needs.
• Translate product and commercial requirements into technical designs and shipped workstreams.
• Collaborate with finance, product, and engineering on roadmap and invoicing accuracy; ensure security of PII.
