Job summary

Amentum is hiring a Senior Assistant Civil Engineer to support the Integrated Delivery Solutions team in delivering civil engineering projects across defence, industrial, energy, and infrastructure sectors. Based in Poland with UK/European standards guidance, you will contribute to design tasks and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires Civil Engineering expertise, BIM experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering (MSc/MEng preferred).
2-5 years of experience in civil engineering design within infrastructure.
Strong understanding of UK/European standards.
Familiarity with US codes is an advantage.
Experience with Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, QGIS, Navisworks, or equivalent.
Experience collaborating within BIM workflows (Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks).
Fluent written and spoken English (B2 or higher).

Responsibilities

Perform civil engineering design for site development, grading and drainage, stormwater management, flood protection, earthworks, terrain modelling, cut‑and‑fill analysis, underground utilities, access roads, pavements and associated infrastructure.
Develop 3D models, drawings, layouts and detailed design documentation.
Apply and interpret UK and European design standards.
Use engineering best practices to improve quality, constructability, safety, sustainability, and lifecycle performance.
Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, MEP, Architecture, Fire, and Environmental disciplines to resolve interfaces.
Ensure compliance with IDS governance, quality procedures, and document control requirements.
