Job summary

The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, part of Kohler Co., invites applications for a Senior Chef de Partie to join our Jigger Inn kitchen team. You will create dishes from locally sourced Scottish produce and manage your own section under guidance from the Junior Sous Chef.

This permanent, full-time role is based on-site with a 40-hour week, offering a competitive salary (£33,341.44 per year) and a comprehensive benefits package including staff meals, discounts, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold SVQ 1 or 2 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years culinary experience.
• Advanced knowledge of restaurant and banquet service.
• Ability to develop daily specials for the menu.
• Demonstrate leadership in kitchen without the Sous Chef.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all foods for service to high culinary standards.
• Produce quantities per forecast to control costs.
• Prepare foods according to orders and maintain pace of service.
• Prepare special dietary needs as requested.
• Ensure food quality meets hotel standards.
• Lead and train junior team members.
• Oversee ordering checklists for juniors.
• Rotate stocks and conduct monthly inventory.
• Ensure compliance with food safety policies.
