Job summary

EPAM Systems in Krakow is seeking an experienced backend C++ engineer to design, develop, test, and support high-performance trading platforms. You will work on low-latency services, APIs, and integration components across global teams, with a focus on reliability and scalable architectures.

The role requires strong Linux knowledge, multithreading, STL, and SQL, plus experience with FIX and trading environments. On-site presence in Krakow 3 days per week is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on C++ development experience.
• Strong knowledge of multithreading, STL, data structures, algorithms, templates, pointers, and socket programming.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Good understanding of SQL and database technologies.
• Experience with FIX protocol, order management systems, and trading environments.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Nice to have Experience with equity trading or investment banking systems.
• Client connectivity platform experience Java development knowledge.
• Experience providing production (L3) support.

You will work on backend services, APIs, integration components, and low-latency distributed systems while contributing to a major platform modernization initiative. Please note that working from the client's office in Krakow 3 days per week is required.
