Job summary

Coforge is seeking an accomplished Senior C++ Backend Engineer to own technical design and architecture of mission-critical services. You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and set engineering standards while delivering high-performance microservices in a cloud-native GCP environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in C++ development and 2+ years in leadership, with deep knowledge of modern C++, multithreading, NoSQL data modeling, and CI/CD pipelines. Hybrid work in Kraków is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a C++ Developer and 2+ years as a Team Leader.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Expertise in Modern C++ (17/20/23), Multithreading, Data Structures, and performance tuning (memory management, low-latency optimization).
• Proficiency in the C++ Standard Library (STL) and Boost C++ Libraries.
• Experience with GCP Pub/Sub, REST/JSON APIs, and cloud security best practices.
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL data modeling, distributed systems, and CI/CD toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Own technical design and architecture for mission-critical C++ backend services, driving scalability and performance.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers and leading design reviews.
• Design, implement, and evolve high-performance microservices in CI/CD environment.
• Drive performance optimization across distributed systems in a cloud-native (GCP, containers) environment.
• Conduct performance, load, and stress tests to identify bottlenecks and validate production-like workloads.
• Own service lifecycle quality, including reliability, security, observability, and platform integration.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues and lead root-cause analysis.
