Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior C# Azure Engineer to design, develop, and improve digital products and technology services for clients and employees. You will apply software engineering practices, from feature development to automated testing and deployment, ensuring quality, security, and reliability.

You will build observability into solutions, monitor production health, and resolve incidents while advocating for client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/CE or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with C# and .NET Core.
• Experience with Kafka messaging.
• Experience with containers, ideally Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in React.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with cloud architecture on Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of Agile, Test-Driven Development, and DevOps practices.
• Skills in engineering best practices and delivering Clean Code.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal; English B2+.

• Apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment.
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying digital principles and implementing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Build observability into solutions, monitor production health, help resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues.
• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs.
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to engineering culture and internal communities.
• Work on new initiatives to introduce a service-based, event-driven, messaging architecture in Azure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree or equivalent focusing on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with C# and .NET Core.
• Experience with messaging platforms, ideally Kafka.
• Experience with containers, ideally Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in React.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with cloud architecture and engineering, ideally on Microsoft Azure (Kubernetes Service, Container Apps, App Service, Functions, Event Grid, and Service Bus).
• Knowledge of Agile, Test-Driven Development, and DevOps practices.
• Skills in engineering best practices and delivering Clean Code.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
