Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior C++ Developer to design and build high‑performance financial software within our global IT team. You will work on real‑time, low‑latency systems and collaborate across CX teams to deliver value while complying with regulations.

The role requires 5+ years in finance‑focused software, proficiency in C++, multi‑threading, DBMS (MS‑SQL/Sybase/Oracle), and familiarity with IBM MQ, Kafka, GitLab, and Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
• 5+ years of software development experience in the finance sector.
• Proficient in C++ with multi-threaded, low-latency real-time systems.
• Experience with MS-SQL, Sybase or Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with IBM MQ and Kafka middleware; GitLab for DevOps.
• Cloud knowledge, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Strong English communication skills (B2+).
• Nice to have Kafka experience and Azure exposure.

We are seeking a Senior C++ Developer to join our global IT team, where you will design and build attractive digital products and services while playing a key role in transforming our organization into an agile one. We re-imagine the way we work, the way we connect with our colleagues, clients, and partners, and the way we deliver value. In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You will help develop IT solutions for FX Cash Trading and all its stakeholders, enabling our business to grow while ensuring compliance with international regulations, working in close collaboration with the COO team, our control functions, and other IT teams. Please note: 3 days in the office in "flex-hybrid" mode.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
• Apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• Build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities
• Support L3 activities independently when needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent focusing on Computer Science/Information Technology
• 5+ years of experience in a similar position focused on developing software within the finance sector
• Proficiency in C++ with hands-on experience in multi-threaded designs, development, and implementation for low-latency and complex real-time systems
• Knowledge of DBMS such as MS-SQL, Sybase, or Oracle
• Familiarity with middleware technologies, including IBM MQ and Kafka
• Background in DevOps, including managing and creating builds and releases with GitLab
• Understanding of cloud technologies, preferably Azure
• Interest in learning new technologies and practices, reusing strategic platforms and standards, evaluating options, and making decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• Strong communication skills, from making presentations to technical writing
• Fluency in English (B2 level or higher)
• Nice to have: Experience with Apache Kafka
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure
