Job summary

Novocure Inc. in Kraków, Poland, seeks a Business Intelligence Developer for a permanent hybrid role. You will design and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models drawing from our Data Lake to enable faster, data-driven decisions across Global Operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, automate processes with Power Automate and Python, and ensure data governance. This role requires ~5 years BI experience and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Engineering, or Data Analytics.
• About 5 years of BI analytics experience.
• Strong SQL development skills with enterprise databases.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI and data lakes.
• Experience with data modeling, integration, and visualization best practices.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Power BI from the Data Lake and enterprise systems.
• Build and maintain efficient data models, semantic layers, and reusable datasets.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and data transformations for high-performance reporting.
• Partner with stakeholders across Global Supply Chain, Operations, Product Development, Quality, and Manufacturing to deliver insights.
• Identify opportunities to automate business processes using Power Automate, Power Apps, or Python.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reporting solutions.
• Monitor and improve dashboards and reporting environments continually.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and data definitions.
• Promote BI best practices and data visualization standards.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to support the Global Operations organization to enable faster, better-informed decisions through scalable analytics, trusted data products, and automation solutions.

The Business Intelligence Developer will transform data from enterprise data sources, increasingly leveraging the corporate Data Lake, into interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics that improve operational visibility across the COO organization. You will partner with Novocure’s automation solutions team to drive analytical efficiency and reduce manual work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports using tools like Microsoft Power BI leveraging data primarily from the corporate Data Lake and other enterprise systems.
• Build and maintain efficient data models, semantic layers, and reusable datasets.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and data transformations to ensure high-performance reporting.
• Partner with stakeholders across Global Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, Product Development, Quality, ET and Patient Experience to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Identify opportunities to automate business processes and develop automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, Python, or similar technologies.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all reporting solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve existing dashboards and reporting environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data definitions, and user guides.
• Promote BI best practices, data visualization standards, and continuous improvement within the organization.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• About 5 years of experience developing Business Intelligence and analytics solutions.
• Strong SQL development skills and experience working with enterprise databases.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience working with Data Lakes and modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, data transformation and data visualization best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Fluent in English with communication and presentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience supporting Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain organizations is highly preferred.
• Experience with Python or similar scripting languages for automation and data processing.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Experience defining and monitoring operational KPIs.
• Experience working in a regulated industry (Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, or Healthcare) is an advantage.

COMPENSATION:

The annual base salary ranges from 164 000 PLN to 200 000 PLN yearly*.

This pay range is the range of base pay compensation within which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
