Job summary

Alpine Intel is seeking a Senior Biomechanical Engineer to build and lead the biomechanical engineering practice for its western regional offices, reporting to the Director of Technical Services. The role centers on analyzing occupant injuries in highway crashes and developing expert consulting services across multiple investigations.

Ideal candidates possess a Master’s or Doctorate in biomechanics/engineering, 8+ years of experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate related to biomechanics/engineering.
• Eight+ years in crashworthiness or occupant protection preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and legal work status in the US.

Responsibilities

• Build out and lead biomechanical engineering consulting practice.
• Foster a team focusing on injury analysis in highway vehicle crashes.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering and scientific teams.
• Oversee biomechanics projects related to human injury analysis.
• Analyze biomechanical data on kinematics, dynamics, and injury mechanisms.
• Prepare peer-reviewed papers and stay active in safety committees.
• Lead field investigations of accidents and document scenes and vehicles.
