Job summary

Text is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the SSO and account services, shaping technical solutions and coordinating across product and engineering teams. You’ll drive end-to-end delivery and ensure robust, scalable systems powering subscriptions and billing.

You’ll work in a hybrid environment with quarterly team offsites and ongoing collaboration with cross-functional teams to migrate customers and evolve access controls. Strong Go and OAuth expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of OAuth 2.0 flows, token types, and authorization models.
• Strong Go production experience with scalable backend systems.
• Solid MySQL experience in high-traffic environments.
• Familiarity with GCP and Kubernetes in production settings.

Responsibilities

• Own the SSO service and OAuth implementation, guiding technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Work on text-billing: subscriptions, usage-based pricing, and payment provider integrations.
• Drive end-to-end projects from requirements through to delivery and milestones.
• Maintain and improve services, preemptively addressing issues before incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on migrations and role management improvements.
