Job summary

HelloFresh in Warsaw invites a Senior Backend Engineer to own the architecture and delivery of scalable microservices. You’ll work across cross-functional squads, shaping backend systems with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Senior backend expertise required with strong Go or Python proficiency.
• Experience building, deploying, and operating production backend services.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, messaging queues, and modern deployment infra.

Responsibilities

• Maintain architecture, design, development, deployment, and operation of microservices under a full DevOps model.
• Build event-driven systems using Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, REST and gRPC interfaces.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
• Commit to thorough testing with unit and end-to-end coverage.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams including product, frontend, and data.
