Job summary

Elastic is seeking a backend-focused engineer to strengthen its Observability Streams program. You will build and maintain high-performance ingestion pipelines, including mOTLP endpoints and agentless integrations, across major cloud providers.

You will own projects end-to-end, mentor peers, and support customers with on-call rotations while advancing your expertise in distributed systems and AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Go with strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience configuring and operating Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Hands-on experience with data ingestion pipelines and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy and maintain high-performing, scalable features in Managed Inputs and Managed Integrations.
• Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery.
• Provide engineering-level support to escalated customer cases on rotation.
• Mentor peers through code reviews and promote best practices.
• Monitor alerts, build SLIs/SLOs, and ensure system stability.
• Collaborate across time zones to maintain a positive team culture and be on-call as needed.
