Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a skilled observability engineer to help build a healthcare data platform with client‑scoped SLO monitoring and alerting across 110–140 services. You will instrument applications with OpenTelemetry in Go and TypeScript, implement custom metrics, and improve telemetry quality within distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
• Experience developing in both Node.js/TypeScript and GO
• Experience implementing custom metrics and application telemetry.
• Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Experience working with GraphQL.
• Ability to contribute across multiple codebases and drive cross-team PRs to completion.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical mindset and healthy skepticism toward telemetry data quality.
• Ability to validate metrics and signals against independent sources before operationalizing alerts.

Responsibilities

• Instrument applications using OpenTelemetry SDKs in Go and Node.js/TypeScript.
• Implement and maintain custom metrics and telemetry.
• Contribute instrumentation changes across repositories owned by multiple teams.
• Support Kubernetes and Helm-based deployments.
• Work with GraphQL services and APIs.
• Validate telemetry signals against independent data sources before they are used for alerting.
• Collaborate with platform and observability teams to improve monitoring coverage and reliability.
