Job summary

Elastic, the Search AI Company, invites you to join the Observability organization as part of the Streams program. You will help build high-performing backend ingestion pipelines, handling mOTLP endpoints and agentless integrations across multiple clouds.

We process telemetry and route data to destinations to power Kibana experiences. As a backend engineer, you will own features, mentor peers, set SLIs/SLOs, and be on-call in rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform and Kafka.
• Strong observability knowledge: tracing, metrics, logs.
• Distributed systems and microservices design expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy and maintain scalable backend features across the Managed Inputs and Managed Integrations.
• Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery.
• Provide engineering support for escalated customer cases on rotation.
• Monitor alerts, build SLIs and SLOs, ensure system stability.
