Job summary

Sprout Social, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join our Engineering team in Kraków, Poland. You will help design, build, and scale our backend services that power billions of requests daily and deploy frequently.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, improve platforms, and mentor peers. Prior experience with Java, Python, and distributed systems is required, with a strong focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
• 3+ years experience programming in object-oriented languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Professional Polish proficiency in verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure we build, scale, ship, and monitor our platform reliably.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and complete feature work.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pairing, and feedback on designs.
