Job summary

Sprout Social is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Platform/Scala) to join the Kraków team. This remote Poland role collaborates with product, design, and other engineers to deliver reliable, scalable backend services.

You will work with Scala, Python, and data stores, contributing to features, testing, and mentoring teammates while enjoying a remote-friendly, Kraków‑based engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 4 years experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
• 3 years experience programming in object oriented languages such as Scala or other JVM languages.
• 3 years experience with functional programming paradigms and ecosystems (e.g., Scala Cats, ZIO).
• Professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure we build, scale, ship, and monitor our platform reliably using Scala, Python, and related tech.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and complete feature work.
• Improve processes, systems, and tools to deliver quality products and champion technical initiatives.
• Uphold project quality and planning through deadlines, testing, and monitoring.
• Mentor other engineers through knowledge sharing and feedback on PRs and designs.
