Job summary

Netwrix is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Kraków to design, build, and operate services powering an enterprise SaaS security platform. You will work across ASP.NET Core APIs, Azure Functions, SQL Server, and CosmosDB in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment at scale.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with product and architecture teams, and mentor others while prioritizing security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of professional software engineering experience with backend/distributed-systems focus.
• Strong proficiency in C# / .NET 8/10 (ASP.NET Core APIs, Azure Functions, isolated worker model).
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, EF Core, RLS) and CosmosDB.
• Experience building and operating Azure-hosted services (Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage, App Configuration, App Insights).
• Solid understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
• Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and data isolation patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps) and IaC (Terraform).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes and integration testing (xUnit).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend features end-to-end in a microservices setup.
• Develop and extend .NET services within a scalable, per-service architecture.
• Write and maintain Azure Functions for asynchronous workloads.
• Build resilient, idempotent, message-driven workflows using Azure Service Bus.
• Work with SQL Server and CosmosDB for secure, scalable data access.
• Own data access patterns with multi-tenant isolation and security controls.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code efforts.
• Mentor teammates and participate in architecture/design discussions.
