Job summary

Starburst is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Warsaw with a focus on the Enterprise Context Layer. You will build backend services that harvest and govern business context, enabling AI agents and BI tools to query certified data efficiently.

You will own the reliability of services that merge data from many sources, contribute to REST APIs, and collaborate with product on feature delivery in a fast-evolving product area. Expect hybrid on-site work and travel.

Qualifications

• Extensive software development experience with Java.
• Experience designing, building, and operating distributed backend services.
• Experience integrating LLMs into backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services that collect and reconcile context.
• Develop certification and versioning workflow for data definitions.
• Contribute to APIs and MCP-based integrations for AI and BI.
• Own reliability and data consistency across sources.
• Collaborate with product and ship context-aware capabilities.
