Job summary

Sabre Polska Sp. z o.o. seeks a Software Systems Engineer to join its Kraków-based engineering team. You will lead distributed backend microservices, design high-performance APIs and own end-to-end SDLC including CI/CD and production diagnostics.

The role requires 6+ years of Java backend experience, Spring Boot mastery, and strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and modern testing. Collaboration across teams and a proactive AI-assisted approach are valued.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Java backend development, with Java 17+ experience.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and cloud-native microservices architecture.
• Experience leading development teams or serving as a technical anchor in Agile/Lean environments.
• Solid SDLC knowledge: CI/CD automation, testing frameworks (JUnit5/Mockito/AssertJ).
• Experience applying AI tooling for code exploration, testing and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for distributed backend microservices within an Agile monorepo.
• Design and implement high-performance APIs, event-driven integrations and scalable data architectures.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from design to code reviews, tests, CI/CD and production diagnostics.
• Guide teams on testing standards, observability, resilience patterns and failure handling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.
