Job summary

CreatorIQ is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Safety & Compliance team. You will design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines powering Brand Safety with AI-enabled capabilities.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, serverless architectures on AWS, and integration with AI agents across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in backend development, strong Node.js/TypeScript skills, relational databases, and experience with API design for

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, owning complex production systems.
• Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js and TypeScript, designing REST/GraphQL APIs and asynchronous workflows.
• Experience building serverless/event-driven systems on AWS (Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, S3, API Gateway).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, transactions, and query optimization (PostgreSQL/SQL Server).
• Experience building distributed or data-intensive systems handling large data volumes.
• Experience designing APIs/tools for machine-to-machine/AI-agent use with contracts, permissions, idempotency, and error handling (MCP, A2A, tool calling).
• Strong auth, secrets management, rate limiting, retries, and secure API design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs for Brand Safety capabilities.
• Develop event-driven/serverless systems with AWS services and robust asynchronous workflows.
• Create large-scale data pipelines ingesting and persisting creator/social content.
• Integrate AI/ML processing and agent-ready APIs with clear contracts and error handling.
• Improve data models, queries, and production observability across AWS RDS/Aurora and external systems.
• Collaborate with Product/Data Science/QA/DevOps to ship reliable production features.
