Job summary

CreatorIQ is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Safety & Compliance team and help build an AI-driven brand safety platform. This backend-focused role powers scalable services and data-processing workflows for creator and social content at scale.

You will work with event-driven/serverless architectures on AWS, relational databases like PostgreSQL and SQL Server, and agent-ready APIs. Strong backend design and a track record of delivering reliable, scalable systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including ownership of complex production systems.
• Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including REST/GraphQL APIs and asynchronous processing.
• Experience building serverless/event-driven systems on AWS (Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, S3, API Gateway).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL Server) and data modeling.
• Experience designing APIs/tools for machine-to-machine/AI-agent use and familiarity with agent interoperability patterns.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, secrets management, retries, and secure API design.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams; English at Upper-Intermediate+.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs for Brand Safety and Compliance.
• Develop event-driven/serverless systems using AWS services with robust error handling and data consistency.
• Build large-scale data pipelines to ingest and process creator and social content.
• Integrate AI/ML components and multimodal inference into customer-facing experiences.
• Create agent-ready APIs and tools with clear contracts and idempotency.
• Improve data models, queries, and performance across AWS/Aurora PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
