Job summary

Intuition Machines, a distributed AI security company, seeks a senior backend software engineer to design, build, and maintain automation tools for SOC operations. You will work with Python, microservices, and secure coding practices across global teams to improve reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with microservice-based architectures.
• Deep understanding of programming best practices, design patterns, and testing methodologies.
• Experience writing secure code and applying OWASP security principles.
• Solid experience working with SQL databases.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical teams.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation tools and services that support core SOC operations, managing the full lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Streamline workflows and improve security efficiency using modern technologies such as microservices, Kubernetes, Python, and message queues.
• Collaborate closely with security analysts and engineers to solve complex automation and operational challenges.
• Research emerging security and automation standards, identifying new technologies that strengthen our defenses and processes.
• Contribute to system reliability, observability, and scalability through thoughtful automation and process design.
