Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to design, build and operate scalable cloud services for edge device management and OTA updates. You will own CI/CD pipelines, implement observability, and lead security and reliability improvements across multi-region AWS infrastructure.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with hardware, product and other software teams, and apply IaC practices to deliver robust end-to-end solutions for a global transportation platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with Amazon AWS services (EKS, S3, SQS, RDS, Cognito, Lambda).
• Proficiency in Python or Go for production services.
• Experience with SQL and databases; ability to write performant queries.
• Solid Kubernetes knowledge and container orchestration in production.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration across teams.
• Experience designing scalable, secure APIs and microservices.
• Experience in agile DevOps/SRE environments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in incident prevention, response, and remediation efforts.

The Cloud Fleet Engineering team is at the forefront of managing and scaling our fleet of AI-powered edge devices deployed across global transportation agencies. As a senior engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling cloud services that enable remote device management, over-the-air updates, observability, and high-availability operations for our mobile perception platform. We tackle complex challenges related to scalability, performance, and security to enable smarter and safer cities through cutting-edge innovation. Responsibilities:

• Set and uphold high standards for software engineering and DevOps practices across the team, including incident response, monitoring, and postmortems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including hardware, product, and other engineering teams—to define system requirements and deliver robust end-to-end solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions, perform code reviews, and contribute to long-term technical strategy for cloud services.
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise in cloud technologies, software and architectural design patterns.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with Amazon AWS services such as EKS, S3, SQS, RDS, Cognito, and Lambda.
• Proficiency in Python or Go (Golang), with a focus on building production-quality services.
• Experience working with relational, document, or time-series databases and expertise in writing performant SQL queries.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate and contribute to solutions effectively.
• Proven ability to design and operate scalable, secure APIs and microservices.
• Strong communication skills and a track record of leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Experience working in agile environments with modern DevOps and SRE practices.
