Qualifications

• Senior level with extensive hands-on experience managing large-scale cloud environments.
• Advanced practical knowledge of Kubernetes (deployment, management, security, managed services) and cloud architecture.
• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and programming for automation (Python or Go).
• Strong Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and experience with hybrid cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of DevOps/Platform Engineering principles and proactive improvement of engineering practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor colleagues and drive technical discussions.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join a global investment firm. In this role, you will design and support scalable cloud and Kubernetes environments, combining hands-on engineering, architecture, automation, and platform engineering. You will collaborate closely with development teams, build self-service capabilities, and explore LLM and autonomous AI agent integrations to continuously improve engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Own cloud engineering projects end-to-end from initial design through implementation.
• Design and develop Kubernetes platforms, including managed Kubernetes services.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Build self-service capabilities for engineering teams and promote DevOps and Platform Engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders on cloud solutions and architecture.
• Support applications in cloud / Kubernetes environments and implement observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

Candidate Profile

• Level of Experience: Senior level with extensive hands-on experience managing large-scale, highly available cloud environments.
• Kubernetes & Cloud Expertise: Advanced practical knowledge of Kubernetes (deployment, management, security, managed services), cloud architecture, and serverless solutions.
• IaC & Automation: Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and programming skills for infrastructure automation (preferably Python or Go).
• System & Network Fundamentals: Strong Linux administration skills, solid understanding of networking, and experience with hybrid cloud environments.
• DevOps Culture: Solid understanding of DevOps and Platform Engineering principles with a proactive approach to improving engineering practices.
• Communication & Mentorship: Excellent communication skills, agile experience, and the ability to mentor colleagues and drive technical discussions.

Nice to Have

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS).
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
• Experience with on-premises Kubernetes or Ansible.
• Exposure to AI / ML infrastructure.
