Philip Morris International is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer for our IoT Platform team in Kraków. You will implement scalable backend services, APIs, and AI-driven enhancements for connected devices and data pipelines.

You will work with architects and developers, translating designs into robust solutions using Python/Node.js on AWS, while promoting secure, efficient CI/CD and AI-assisted practices across the backend chapter.

Qualifications

• Proven Backend Engineer experience.
• Strong backend language skills (Python/Node.js).
• Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with observability (logs, metrics, tracing).
• Infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs into scalable backend implementations.
• Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to the team.
