Job summary

AVID is seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join a distributed, agile team. This fully remote role is based in Poland and involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services and REST APIs for cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities include architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and collaborating with teams across Germany, the USA, Canada, Poland, and India.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of backend software development.
• Proficiency in Java and Go.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design.
• Extensive experience with Spring and Hibernate.
• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with micro-service architecture.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker containers.
• Experience with Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance, scalable cloud-native back-end services.
• Develop REST APIs and microservices for distributed systems.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions and code reviews.
• Mentor teammates and participate in SCRUM practices.
• Collaborate with Product Management and global engineering teams.
