Job summary

Fiskaly is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer who acts as a System Architect for our API-first SaaS platform. You will own end-to-end design of scalable microservices in Go, leveraging AI-assisted development to reduce boilerplate and increase reliability.

You will work in a hybrid setup with offices in Vienna/Berlin/Madrid/Milan or remote, shaping the platform architecture and ensuring scalable fiscalization services across Europe.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong preference for Golang
• Experience with distributed systems and architecture
• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with RESTful/RPC APIs and messaging systems

Responsibilities

• Architect for Scale: design and build resilient microservices in Golang from architecture to deployment
• AI-Augmented Engineering: use AI tools to speed up boilerplate and improve tests/docs
• Continuous Delivery: GitOps, automated tests and monitoring pipelines
• Evolve the Platform: design intuitive, strictly typed, self-documenting APIs
• Innovate with ML/AI: integrate AI/ML where it adds value
• Lead & Mentor: guide junior developers in a modern cloud environment
