Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Kraków is seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer / SDET to join the IDP team within the investment banking onboarding domain. The role focuses on developing and maintaining automated test solutions for backend APIs, UI flows, and end-to-end document processing.

The engineer will contribute to regression coverage, CI/CD-based test execution, automated reporting, and validation of extracted results against expected data.

Qualifications

• 8+ years practical experience in test automation for production systems.
• Advanced proficiency in building scalable UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, REST Assured, and Postman.
• Hands-on experience with TestNG, JUnit, AssertJ, Hamcrest, Maven/Gradle, Allure, and ReportPortal.
• Strong QA fundamentals: test design, data management, debugging, root-cause analysis.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to select appropriate tools and testing strategies for given problems.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer / Software Development Engineer in Test to join the Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) team in the investment banking/client onboarding domain.

IDP is an AI-assisted platform used in KYC onboarding workflows to extract data from documents and present AI-proposed values for user review. The role focuses on developing and maintaining automated test solutions for backend APIs, UI flows, and end-to-end document processing scenarios.

The engineer will contribute to regression coverage, CI/CD-based test execution, automated reporting, and validation of extracted results against expected data. The role requires strong engineering skills, a quality-focused mindset, and the ability to work closely with developers, QA engineers, DevOps, product owners, and business stakeholders in an agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend APIs, UI components, and end-to-end IDP document processing flows.

Build and extend test automation frameworks with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and clear reporting.

Support automated regression testing across different document types, attributes, and onboarding scenarios.

Validate extracted results against expected data, golden datasets, and structured ground-truth files.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve feedback loops for development teams.

Analyze test failures, investigate defects, and work closely with developers to identify root causes.

Maintain and improve test data handling for anonymized datasets.

Contribute to test strategy, quality gates, release readiness, and continuous improvement of QA processes.

Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders in an agile delivery model.

Promote automation-first and engineering-driven quality practices across the team.

Must have

At least 8+ years of practical experience in test automation and delivering quality for production systems.

Advanced proficiency in building maintainable, scalable UI and API automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, REST Assured, and Postman.

Practical, hands-on experience with test frameworks, build tools, and reporting: TestNG, JUnit, AssertJ, Hamcrest, Maven, Gradle, Allure, and ReportPortal.

Strong grasp of QA engineering fundamentals: test design techniques, test data management, debugging, and root cause analysis.

Solid understanding of testing practices across unit, integration, API, and end-to-end layers, plus integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Ability to evaluate trade-offs and select appropriate tools, frameworks, and testing strategies for a given problem.

Experience in Performance Testing using one of tools as Gatling, JMeter

Familiarity with Agile delivery and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience using GitHub Copilot, agentic systems, and LLM-assisted development to support the testing process.

Nice to have

Experience with Python.

Experience with GitLab CI/CD.

Experience testing AI-assisted, agentic, or document-processing systems, with understanding of related quality and evaluation metrics.

Familiarity with AI-related concepts and components, such as skills, tools, MCP servers, and agent communication patterns.
