Qualifications

• Strong experience developing and supporting SharePoint Online-based business applications.
• Solid SPFx development experience within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Hands-on C# / .NET development in production environments.
• Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Azure SQL.
• Ability to work with permissions, metadata, workflow automation and search.
• Knowledge of production change, release management and code review practices.
• Excellent collaboration with business stakeholders and end users.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and governance patterns.
• Fluent English with strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve technical debt, defects and design weaknesses across the platform.
• Design, develop and maintain SPFx components and SharePoint Online customisations.
• Develop and support Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Azure-based integrations using C# / .NET.
• Deliver platform enhancements supporting document management, collaboration and knowledge-sharing processes.
• Support complex metadata, permissions, search and workflow behaviours.

A leading global strategy consulting organisation is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer (SharePoint & Azure) to join its growing Global IT Applications team in Warsaw.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior hands-on engineer to play a key role in stabilising, modernising and enhancing a strategically important enterprise knowledge and document management platform used by consulting teams globally.

The role combines deep technical engineering capability with close business collaboration, focusing on Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Azure-based application services.

The Role

The successful candidate will take a leading role in supporting and evolving a bespoke SharePoint Online-based platform that underpins document management, knowledge sharing and project delivery processes across the organisation.

The platform environment includes:

• SharePoint Online
• SPFx
• Azure Functions (C# / .NET)
• Logic Apps
• Search, metadata and workflow automation
• Permissions and information governance controls

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role focused on application remediation, enhancement, operational stability and future scalability.

You will work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, infrastructure and security teams to deliver meaningful, well-controlled improvements aligned to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve technical debt, defects and design weaknesses across the platform

• Partner with infrastructure and security teams on governance, certificates, app registrations, Key Vault usage and related controls
• Improve documentation, maintainability and operational support processes
• Collaborate closely with business analysts and end users to translate requirements into practical technical solutions
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve delivery efficiency and engineering quality

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience developing and supporting SharePoint Online-based business applications
• Strong SPFx development experience within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
• Strong hands-on experience with C# / .NET development
• Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Azure SQL in production environments
• Experience supporting complex applications involving permissions, metadata, workflow automation or search functionality
• Experience troubleshooting and improving legacy or third-party developed application estates
• Strong understanding of controlled production change, release management and code review practices
• Experience working closely with business stakeholders, analysts and end users
• Strong documentation and support-oriented engineering practices
• Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex or similar
• Fluency in English
• Experience with Microsoft Graph
• Experience with application registrations and certificate-based authentication
• Understanding of Microsoft cloud security and governance patterns
