Job summary

Woodward, Inc. seeks an experienced automation engineer to lead turbomachinery projects from quotation through FAT and commissioning. You will design systems, develop control software, and create HMI/SCADA applications to deliver turnkey solutions for customers.

The role requires strong PLC programming, hardware knowledge, and CAD/SCADA experience, with Polish and English communication skills. Collaboration with an international team and opportunities for professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge related to turbomachinery and/or rotating machinery.
• Proficiency in programming languages for PLCs.
• Understanding of hardware-related topics for control systems.
• Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., Creo, ePlan Pro Panel) and familiarity with control cabinet design standards.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, such as iFIX, Citect, and Cimplicity (advantageous).
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Automation & Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related.
• 4+ years of proven experience in Industrial Automation.
• Communicative Polish & English, other languages would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the technical scope of systems/services commercial turbomachinery related projects from quotation to FAT and commissioning.
• Create system architecture and design control panels.
• Manage BOM and develop control software applications.
• Create HMI/SCADA applications and perform testing and FAT.
• Provide production and commissioning support and technical training sessions to customers.
• Support the commercial team by contributing to proposals and customer presentations.

Job description

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead and execute the technical scope of systems/services commercial turbomachinery related projects from the quotation phase through execution, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning. Key elements include:
• Creating system architecture,
• Designing of control panels,
• Managing components (BOM),
• Developing control software applications,
• Creating HMI/SCADA applications,
• Performing testing and FAT,
• Providing production & commissioning support.
• Provide technical support to customers
• Deliver technical training sessions to customers
• Support the commercial team by contributing to proposal creation, offering technical expertise for commercial offers, and participating in customer presentations.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
