Job summary

Remote is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Payroll, to own a product area end-to-end, including API surfaces and integrations with engineering, payroll, and tax experts. You’ll drive architectural direction, prototype features, and customer-facing experiences in a fully remote, async environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with Staff Engineers and the Engineering Team Lead, balancing technical depth with business impact while shaping the developer experience for partners and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code/prototypes; not just write specs.
• Experience as product manager in a high-growth company.
• Experience in payroll, HR, benefits, fintech, or similar.
• Excellent judgement for strategic and tactical decisions.
• Strong product design sense and user-focused thinking.
• Outstanding written and spoken English; collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code; build, debug, and ship prototypes.
• Own product area end-to-end, including API surface and integrations.
• Collaborate with payroll and tax experts and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate decisions clearly with specs, Looms, and proposals.
• Own adoption and hypercare after shipping.
