Job summary

ITConnect in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Systems Architect to lead integration design across R&D. You will define API-first architectures, implement scalable, secure integration patterns, and drive modernization aligned with enterprise standards.

With 15+ years in software engineering, you will mentor engineers, shape the technology roadmap, and ensure compliant infrastructure using Terraform, Kafka, Databricks, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions. Based in Poland, Warsaw.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience.
• Educational background in Computer Science, Software Development or Engineering.
• Proficient in Python / FastAPI.
• Experience with Databricks / Lakebase.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and Microservices.
• Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Distributed systems design expertise.
• Desirable: API Management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API-first architectures.
• Build reusable integration capabilities.
• Drive standardization of API contracts, schemas, and governance.
• Lead adoption of event-based integrations using Kafka.
• Define event standards and integration patterns.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
