Job summary

Ework Group in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design and implement automated tests for APIs, data flows, and backend processes. You will lead automation efforts, maintain frameworks, and ensure regression suites are integrated with CI/CD pipelines.

You will use Java 17+ with RESTAssured, JUnit 5, and modern test tooling to validate REST and SOAP services, while mentoring teammates and driving automation-first initiatives across project teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in automated software testing in complex environments.
• Strong QA methodology across test planning, design, execution, and defect management.
• Hands-on test automation development using Java 17+ with Clean Code.
• Experience with RESTAssured, JUnit 5, Lombok, and API testing (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with test frameworks, Allure reporting, and CI/CD integration.
• SQL querying and database testing, data validation for backend processes.
• Experience with Kafka, integration tests, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with qTest, Jira, Git, Jenkins/Bamboo; Agile/Scrum experience.
• Proactive mentor for less experienced teammates; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated tests for APIs, integration processes, and data flows.
• Develop and maintain existing test automation frameworks.
• Create regression tests and integrate them with CI/CD processes.
• Support Automation First approach and define automation strategy.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, PO, and other QA teams.
• Automate new features and existing products; analyze results and evidence.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve testing coverage and efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members in test automation practices.
