Job summary

ICEYE in Warsaw is seeking a Senior AOCS System Engineer to lead the attitude and orbit control systems for our SAR satellite constellation. You will work with production, operations and software teams to ensure robust ADCS performance and on-orbit reliability.

Join a cross-disciplinary team that designs, tests and maintains AOCS hardware and software from concept to in‑orbit operation, with a strong emphasis on system thinking, instrumentation and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Thinking from a first-principles mindset to resolve in-orbit anomalies and propose mitigations.
• Strong understanding of AOCS fundamentals, including rigid body motion, dynamics and state estimation.
• Knowledge of sensors/actuators (reaction wheels, magnetorquers, star trackers, gyros, GNSS).
• Experience owning cross-domain systems with feedback control over their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Increased imaging performance and mission success through AOCS hardware selection and in‑orbit experiments.
• Maximized AOCS availability by maintaining verification procedures and debugging on‑orbit anomalies.
• Robust and predictable AOCS operations by establishing anomaly handling processes.
