Job summary

SumUp Warsaw is seeking a Senior Android Developer to help evolve our Kotlin Multiplatform strategy and contribute to the Android app used across 60+ countries. You will work with a cross-functional team to build new catalog features, improve architecture, and ensure high-quality engineering across platforms.

The role emphasizes user-centric design, precision, and collaboration. Candidates should bring 8+ years in mobile Android/Kotlin, 2+ years with Jetpack Compose, and strong MVVM/MVI

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mobile engineering experience with Android and Kotlin.
• 2+ years of Jetpack Compose experience.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns (MVVM, MVI) and modular, scalable app architectures.
• Good knowledge of reactive programming (Flow, Coroutines).
• Strong grasp of testing best practices and how to write resilient tests.
• Commitment to clean code and balancing pragmatism with perfection.
• Keen interest in Kotlin Multiplatform for multi-platform development.

Responsibilities

• Build new features for the item catalog within the SumUp SuperApp.
• Help improve the architecture and contribute to Kotlin Multiplatform strategy.
• Enhance and maintain the unified Android app, deployed across 60+ countries with high quality, scalable solutions.
• Identify opportunities for product improvement and participate in daily decision-making.
• Write thorough documentation and implement robust testing before shipping.
• Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and Android engineers to deliver a unified UX across platforms.
