Job summary

Biogen in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Analyst for Record To Report to support LATAM affiliates. You will handle GL, cash and treasury reconciliations, payroll, prepayments, accruals, and recording of revenue and expenses, ensuring timely monthly and quarterly reporting and balance sheet integrity.

The role requires English and Spanish fluency, 4+ years in international accounting, and experience with SSC/BPO environments. Hybrid work is available in Poland.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance (preferred in Accountancy).
• 4+ years of experience in international accounting.
• Experience in SSC/BPO.
• Knowledge of AP/AR/CM/FA processes.
• Proficiency in Oracle R12.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger operations for cash, treasury reconciliations, AR, and fixed asset activity.
• Execute payroll, prepayments, accruals, and record revenue/expenses accurately.
• Provide reporting for monthly/quarterly statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, VAT, CIT).
• Post journal entries, prepare VAT data and CIT templates.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations monthly/quarterly.
• Collaborate with consultants on statutory financial statements.
• Provide data/explanations for auditors.
• Run PA reports and financial schedules for analysis.
• Engage in continuous improvement of financial operations.

About This Role

As a Senior Analyst specializing in Record To Report for Biogen's LATAM Affiliates, you will be instrumental in executing general ledger operations that encompass cash and treasury reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, prepayments, accruals, and the recording of revenue and expenses. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of monthly and quarterly financial information, including Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheets, VAT, CIT, and other essential packages. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who will calculate and post journal entries, prepare VAT data, CIT templates, and balance sheet reconciliations, while closely cooperating with consultants in the preparation of statutory financial statements. Your contributions will be crucial in providing data and explanations for internal and external auditors, enhancing Biogen's financial transparency and support in LATAM operations.

What You'll Do

• Perform general ledger operations for cash and treasury reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, and fixed asset activity.
• Execute payroll processes, prepayments, accruals, and record revenue and expenses accurately.
• Provide precise reporting of monthly and quarterly financial information including Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheets, VAT, CIT, and other packages.

Required Skills

• University degree in Finance (preferred in Accountancy area).
• Additional qualifications in accounting (ACCA/CIMA exams preferred, National Association of Accountants).
• 4+ years of experience in international accounting.
• Experience in working for SSC/BPO required.
• Good understanding of various AP/AR/CM/FA processes.
• Proficiency in Oracle R12.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office package (Outlook, Excel).
• Experience in Continuous Improvement.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English and Spanish required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience collaborating with consultants for statutory financial statements preparation.
• Proven ability to provide detailed data and explanations for auditors.
• Familiarity with running PA reports and financial schedules for analysis.

Additional information

• This is a fixed term employment for 9 months.
