Job summary

IFS is seeking a hands-on, production-focused AI backend engineer to build the memory/session spine, retrieval, and agentic workflows across multi-tenant systems. You will ship Go or Java-backed components that operate on live backends, integrating with service-to-service tools and secure gateways.

You will design scalable AI-native features, including evaluation harnesses, grounding across documents, and multi-modal inputs, while collaborating with security and ops to ensure robust, compliant

Qualifications

• Go and Python in production backend
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS
• Experience delivering AI-native products and GenAI
• Experience with RAG pipelines and agent orchestration
• Experience with MCP development
• DevOps and cloud-native infra (Docker, Kubernetes, CNCF, CI/CD)
• Experience with API gateways (Kong/Tyk)
• Latency and cost optimization is a plus
• Specification-driven development preferred
• Up-to-date with GenAI developments

Responsibilities

• Build the session and context spine with persistence and identity-based context
• Develop retrieval and grounding across structured records and documents
• Create document intelligence for manuals, drawings, contracts with citability
• Design the agentic flow runtime for multi-step work with tools
• Handle speech and images as input alongside text
• Build evaluation harness as a gate for autonomy claims
• Create language interfaces over scheduling and optimization engines
• Implement security layer with the security team
