Job summary

Grid Dynamics is seeking a Senior/Staff AI Engineer to push the boundaries of multimodal generative models for robotics and physical AI. You will collaborate with an RnD team to design and deploy AI solutions in manufacturing and logistics contexts.

The role involves implementing novel architectures, scaling training on GPU clusters, publishing on high-impact topics, and helping productize AI pipelines. A strong background in deep learning, vision, and robotics is required.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in deep learning, vision, and multimodal models.
• Engineering proficiency with Python and PyTorch; experience in JAX/Flax is a plus.
• Ability to design and productize AI pipelines in complex projects.
• Experience in robotic manipulation or physical AI is highly valued.
• Experience with large-scale AI training on GPU clusters (Ray).
• A proven publication record in relevant AI/ML areas.

Responsibilities

• Part of RnD team building models for dexterous robotic manipulation in Manufacturing and Logistics.
• Lead and contribute to research in robotic perception, motion generation, and physical AI.
• Design and experiment with novel algorithms and architectures for scalable AI.
• Develop robotic apps combining computer vision, motion planning, and RL/VLA models.
• Define data generation strategies; supervise data collection to scale datasets.
