Grid Dynamics is seeking a Senior/Lead AI Software Engineer to advance an R&D initiative in meta‑prompting, context engineering, and knowledge management for AI coding agents. You will lead hands‑on development of production‑grade, LLM‑powered apps, build RAG pipelines, and mentor mid‑level engineers in a fast‑paced environment.

The role requires deep expertise in Python/TypeScript, LLM APIs, and containerized microservices, with a focus on scalable AI infrastructure and high‑quality code

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience with production‑grade Python/TypeScript code.
• Strong hands‑on experience integrating major LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude) into production software.
• Deep expertise in meta‑prompting and context window optimization.
• Experience building and deploying Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems with vector databases.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and embedding models.
• Proven ability to build automated testing, evaluation, and observability pipelines for AI/LLM apps.
• Docker proficiency, API design, and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production‑grade LLM‑powered services, microservices, and APIs using Python and TypeScript.
• Implement meta‑prompting frameworks and prompt optimization techniques for deterministic outputs.
• Develop scalable RAG pipelines and integrate vector databases for deep context engineering.
• Orchestrate LLM workflows connecting multi‑agent tools and domain knowledge bases.
• Implement automated testing, evaluation, and observability pipelines for AI/LLM applications.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, establish coding standards, and perform code reviews.
• Build containerized microservices and CI/CD pipelines with Docker.
