Job summary

Link Group is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design robust Python backends and APIs that integrate large language models into core workflows. You will build production-grade AI services focused on safety, observability, and reliability, collaborating with product and engineering teams.

You should bring strong Python/backend experience, hands-on work with major AI platforms, and a pragmatic approach to continuous delivery. Remote-friendly but grounded in engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Senior level with proven production experience shipping LLM-driven apps.
• Advanced Python skills with API design and scalable backends.
• Experience with major AI platforms (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock).
• Strong knowledge of prompt design, structured outputs, and tool execution.
• Experience building evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and tests.
• Delivery mindset: maintainable code, continuous delivery.
• Bonus qualifications: exposure to LLM orchestration frameworks (RAG, LangChain) or IaC.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate Python-based backend microservices and APIs powered by LLMs.
• Design end-to-end LLM integration workflows with structured outputs and prompts.
• Implement AI safety controls, output validation, fallbacks, and error handling.
• Establish observability across production AI apps using metrics, logging, tracing.
• Translate requirements into production-ready technical solutions with product teams.
• Refine system performance via model iteration, prompt tuning, and cost optimization.
