Job summary

ERGO Technology & Services S.A. (ET&S), part of Munich Re and the ERGO Group, delivers IT and business services to international markets from Warsaw and Gdansk. The Senior Actuarial Consultant will support valuation and earnings analyses for life and health portfolios across continental Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

You will help develop valuation models, improve data and reporting processes, and deliver insights for management reporting and business planning in a global environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field.
• Several years of relevant actuarial valuation experience including IFRS17 and Solvency II.
• Strong knowledge of life (re)insurance valuation frameworks (IFRS17/Solvency II).
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, Excel/VBA, Power BI and data platforms (e.g. Databricks).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills; able to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance actuarial valuation systems, including design, specifications, testing and implementation of new functionalities.
• Support quarterly IFRS17 closing and forecasting across international units.
• Develop and maintain valuation models ensuring robustness and consistency.
• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, IT, accounting, audit and data teams on end-to-end valuation and reporting.
• Understand business and reinsurance contracts; analyze reserve movements and key drivers (IFRS17/Solvency II).
• Onboard new business into valuation systems, plan testing across releases, ensure stability and accuracy.
• Develop reporting tools, dashboards and reference calculators to support management decision-making.
• Drive automation, digitalisation and process improvement using modern data platforms.
