Job summary

TÜV Rheinland Group Poland in Katowice invites you to join our Shared Services Center finance team. The role offers a hybrid work model, engaging daily with accounting processes, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to automate and optimize workflows.

You will handle statutory and IFRS reporting, support internal controls, and interact with auditors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• University/college degree in finance, accounting or economics required.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in international SSC/BPO.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the accounting team and liaise with local finance and controlling.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and IFRS data for reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities with timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries in SAP, including accruals and adjustments.
• Monitor accounts and reconcile balance sheet accounts; resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate regular fixed asset counts with local units.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and follow up on differences.
• Process invoices in ERP and ensure compliance with policies.
• Support auditors and contribute to internal controls and risk management.

WHAT TASKS CAN YOU EXPECT?

• Be an integral part of the accounting team and in regular contact with local finance and controlling Team

• Preparing statutory financial statements and data for IFRS reporting package
• Take an active role in monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Preparing and posting journal entries in SAP, including accruals, reclassifications and other accounting adjustments
• Monitoring accounts and preparing balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
• Reconcile and maintain fixed asset main and sub-ledger accounts, including the processing of additions, disposals, transfers, scrapping, and write-offs

• Arrange and coordinate regular fixed asset counts with local units

• Reconcile Intercompany transactions and follow up on identified differences

• Receiving and reviewing invoices and/or other documentation ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with defined policies and procedures
• Coding, verifying and processing invoices in the ERP system in accordance with applicable accounting requirements and internal procedures

• Ensuring accurate matching of supplier invoices and outgoing payments
• Communicating with external SSC customer

• Perform matching of incoming payments against open receivables and ensure accurate clearing of customer accounts
• Accurately and timely perform all activities, according to the guidelines received from the Team Leader

• Cooperate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and supporting audit activities
• Execute internal controls and ensure compliance with the Internal Controls Framework
• Actively contribute to one of our accounting process groups: Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Internal Controls & Audit Handling, Mergers & Acquisitions, or Automation/RPA
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and optimization of accounting processes by identifying opportunities for further automation and enhanced process efficiency
• Create, maintain and continuously improve process documentation, including desktop procedures and process maps

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES SHOULD YOU HAVE?

• Very good command of English and Serbian (min. C1)
• University/ College Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• +3 years of experience in similar position, ideally in an international SSC or BPO environment
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Experience with process documentation will be an asset
• Very good communication skills, customer focus and ability to work in the team
• SAP and MS Office knowledge
