Job summary

Itcharm in Poland seeks a Senior Accountant to strengthen daily financial operations. You will maintain statutory records, perform month-end close, and prepare tax declarations in line with Polish laws. The role includes payroll processing for about 50 staff and project cost allocation.

Working with auditors and authorities, you’ll ensure accuracy of documents and mentor a junior accountant. English proficiency is required; IT/group experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in full-scope accounting for sp. z o.o. or an accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of Polish accounting and tax rules.
• English proficiency for daily cooperation with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full statutory records per Polish regulations.

• Process payroll for ~50 employees and post invoices to projects.
• Prepare reports for GUS/NBP and external bodies under supervision.
• Assist audits and supervise junior accountant's postings.

We are a fast-growing international IT company that builds products used by millions of users worldwide. Our Polish entity operates as part of an international Group, working in close cooperation with the Group’s legal and management teams. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team and strengthen the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of our Polish entity.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining full statutory accounting records in accordance with Polish accounting and tax regulations;
• Performing month-end and year-end closing;
• Preparing bank transfers, as well as recording and reconciling bank transactions, including foreign currency operations;
• Preparing and submitting tax declarations (VAT, CIT, JPK, and others, excluding PIT) and monitoring statutory deadlines;
• Recording and reconciling payroll entries for approximately 50 employees;
• Preparing and posting sales invoices and allocating costs to projects;
• Preparing periodic reports for external institutions (GUS, NBP) and statutory financial statements, under the supervision of the Chief Accountant;
• Cooperating with auditors and public authorities during audits and inspections;
• Verifying the accuracy and completeness of accounting documents;
• Supervising the posting of expense invoices and providing guidance to a junior accountant.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in full-scope accounting for a limited liability company (Sp. z o.o.) and/or in an accounting firm in an independent accounting role;
• Knowledge of the Enova365 accounting system;
• Very good knowledge of accounting and tax regulations;
• A high level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail;
• Communicative level of English.
