Job summary

UST is seeking a Validation Engineer to support client storage technology validation by executing manual validation of RST and TSE features across Windows, Linux, and UEFI platforms. The role involves system setup, functional testing, defect verification, lab maintenance, and ensuring high-quality validation execution in compliance with Client engineering standards.

Key responsibilities include executing tests, imaging systems, RAID configuration, and documenting results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual validation of RST and TSE features across Windows, Linux, and UEFI platforms.
• Install, configure, and maintain validation systems, OS, BIOS, firmware, storage devices, and peripherals.
• Run functional, smoke, sanity, regression, compatibility, installation, and basic performance tests per validation plans.
• Perform system imaging, BIOS flashing, OS deployment, storage configuration, RAID setup, and hardware bring-up.
• Capture logs, screenshots, traces, and diagnostics to support defect reporting and root-cause analysis.
• Reproduce customer issues and assist engineering in issue verification and validation.
• Record test status, maintain documentation, and update client defect tracking tools.
• Maintain labs, hardware inventory, and test assets for readiness.
• Adhere to engineering processes, standards, security, and documentation requirements.
• Support continuous improvements to validation execution efficiency and lab operations.
