Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Security Researcher to help detect and mitigate cyber and fraud attacks. You will update telemetry collection mechanisms, including the Akamai Mobile SDK, to improve signal accuracy and protection.

You will collaborate with data science and engineering teams to translate findings into automated bot-mitigation rules. The role requires hands-on AI/LLM tool usage, the ability to bypass advanced security controls such as canvas/TLS fingerprinting and SSL pinning, and strong

As a Security Researcher, you will be responsible for:

• Updating and maintenance defensive telemetry collection mechanisms (including the Akamai Mobile SDK) to improve signal accuracy, runtime protection, and anti-tampering
• Partnering with data science and engineering teams to convert reverse-engineering findings into automated, production-grade bot-mitigation rules

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have hands-on experience leveraging AI/LLM tools and AI coding agents to accelerate reverse engineering, automate deobfuscation, and scale overall code analysis.
• Demonstrate ability to analyze and bypass advanced security controls like canvas/TLS fingerprinting, SSL pinning, and root/jailbreak detection across environments.
• Have data-driven mindset & good verbal and written communication skills
